We have decided what our Target Audience is by using the site UK Tribes
and we have decided that our film is 'alternative' although we do have some conventions that we do use but we are either combing conventions or adding in quite unknown plot points that make this production alternative and not a 'mainstream' production.
Nerds Scene Kids links to our target audience
we then got some people that we considered to be in our Target Audience and asked them to fill in our questionnaire.
the results were quite unanimous with where they think the location should be. The resounding opinion was that the production should be shot in a forest or in a dark isolated place which s more keeping with the horror genre.
one question that asked if our target audience has seen a monologue used correctly was a resounding yes which came as a relief to me as i had questioned the effectiveness of a monologue in our production but now that our target audience have said that monologues are very useful for a horror/thriller I have ended up agreeing with my group on the importance of a monologue.
most of them who had said that they had seen a horror/thriller movie they enjoyed it which is good news for us as it is a generally well liked genre but that is no guarantee that the audience will like our production and that it will be good.
the mind map shows conventions of both the Horror and Thriller
genres and various sub-conventions.

Title research
the title of films vary depending on the time period the film the set is created in and the genre that the film is depicting.
horror titles
the for the horror genre it seems that they use simple colours to complete the simple yet ominous effect that the colour scheme gives. the way that they have used the combination of both numbers and letters gives an added layer of both detail and mystery.
as a title this differs from the other one as this title incorporates colour which could denote conflict and blood two things a horror movie must have they fact that they have also manipulated the lighting on the title with it starting dark getting lighter and returning to darkness this could denote the story it starts dark then the protagonists find away to stop the antagonist but ultimately the protagonists lose.
unlike the horror titles this title has the title itself in black and the background in white which is the complete opposite to the horror titles the fact that it is just in plain text adds an idea that this film will go straight to the point with both its action and story line.
