 The Kings Speech got a £1 million investment from the UK Film Council in 2011.
The UK Film Council was a non profit organisation set up in 2000 to develop and help promote the British film industry. It took its funding from various organisations like the National lottery fund.  However in 2011 the UK Film Council was closed and many of it services were moved to the British Film Institute. The UK Film Council aimed to "stimulate a competitive, successful and vibrant UK film industry and culture, and to promote the widest possible enjoyment and understanding of cinema throughout the nations and regions of the UK." The UK Film Council has been involved in may other projects like The Iron Lady,360 and Creation.

Momentum Pictures was a independent motion picture distribution company which meant they were in charge of the marketing of a film. They have been involved with a number of films like The Guard and Burke And Hare.

On its First week of release the Kings Speech brought in £3,523,102 Million and was shown in 395 cinemas all across the UK.

On its 4th week of release the Kings speech brought in £3,634,265 Million and was shown in 536 cinemas all across the UK.

On its Final week of release the Kings Speech brought in £1,685,180 Million and was shown in 507 cinemas all across the UK.

On its First week of release Paul brought in  £5,517,121 Million and was shown in 429 cinemas all across the UK.

On its 4th week of release Paul brought in £559,856 Thousand and was shown in 390 cinemas all  across the UK.

On its Final week of release Paul brought in only £289,621 Thousand and was shown in 296 cinemas all across the UK.

On its First week of release Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 brought in £23,753,171 Million and was shown in 582 cinemas all across the UK.

On its 4th week of  release Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 brought in £1,733,091 Million and was shown in 469 cinemas all across the UK.

On its Final  week of release Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 brought in 153,514 Thousand and was shown in 230 cinemas all across the UK.

On its First week of release Submarine brought in only £244,476 Thousand and was shown in 60 cinemas in the UK.

On its 4th week of release Submarine brought in only £67,279 Thousand and was shown in 65 cinemas in the UK.

On its Final week of release  Submarine brought in only £19,956 Thousand and was shown in only 29 cinemas in the UK.

Even though it did not perform well at the cinemas Submarine had the support of many companies in its production such as Warp Films,Film4 Productions,the UK Film Council the Film Agency for Wales and Protagonist pictures also helped in development.
